Who We Are
Jacqueline Thompson & John Ford make up Sleep Stampede, a modern folk duo based in Flagstaff, Arizona. Sleep Stampede’s sound has been described as “the feeling you get after a good long day in the mountains,” which reflects their love for wild places that bring them inspiration. Their imagery-rich songwriting, intimate performances, and community-centered events evoke familiarity, hope and sadness, bringing listeners into a dream-like state of both comfort and heartbreak.
They are both frequently covered in dirt, fond of early mornings, and feel most themselves while songwriting over coffee.

With a wedding booking, you may request up to 2 covers for us to learn and perform for your ceremony, meal, or reception happy hour. Our musician fees vary depending on travel and performance time.

Book us for your festival, party, event, fundraiser, celebration, and more! Our sound is a great fit for any other event where you want to set a laid-back vibe.

Public Venues
We love playing at restaurants, cafes & coffee shops lounges, outdoor patios, cocktail bars, and small music venues. Given our genre, please be aware that noisy bars & venues are not a good fit for us.
